Dr. Lynch’s research interests experimental combustion research (particularly at high pressure), particle combustion, energetic materials, optical and laser diagnostics and spectroscopy, time-of-flight mass spectrometry, synchrotron sourced x-ray measurements, reactive flow diagnostics, high temperature and high speed measurements, and chemical kinetics and transport phenomena
